At least six people, including two children, were killed and two others injured in an accident in Arunachal Pradesh's Namsai area on Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred between Chongkham and Namsai in Namsai District, where a Santro car in which the victims were traveling had an accident.
Relatives of a tea tribe are reported to have returned from a wedding reception to their home in the village of Chesing Wingko.
A Santro car collided with a loaded vehicle parked on the street in the village of Joypure Habi under the Namsai police station.
Four people died on the spot, while two others died from injuries in the hospital.
The other injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
A Namsai District police officer said the driver of the Santro car is still missing.
