The Chinese do their part to protect themselves against the corona virus, which killed more than 2,000 people.

Given the limited supply of face masks, people are opting for innovative solutions, from covering with plastic films to manufacturing protective equipment from plastic bottles.

In such an incident, a woman was wearing a giraffe costume when she was visiting a hospital in Luzhou, China. She decided to wear the inflatable animal suit to protect herself from the deadly virus while visiting the hospital to pick up medication for her family.

The video of her in a giraffe costume has gone viral.

She told YouTube channel Pear video that she had bought two of these outfits because of the lack of face masks, including an alien costume.

She also said that the face masks in her house had passed their expiration date and she couldn't get new ones.

In the video, the woman is seen completely covered in the suit, except for a small opening with a clear plastic sheet that she can see.

The woman's father had been to the hospital's respiratory department regularly before the coronavirus broke out in China.

In order to prevent her parents from becoming infected with the virus, the woman took the time to go shopping and run errands.
