Quarantine and social distancing times have led to people being grateful for everything they took for granted. It is human nature to not appreciate things when we have them and then looking back with regret when it is gone. Nobody is perfect: we all have taken advantage of something or the other at some point in our lives, whether it means spending quality time with parents, catching up with old friends, going for strolls at the park or living in mansion-sized homes. From the richest to the poorest, everyone is feeling it. Author Shweta Bachchan Nanda recently weighed in on the same.
She took to Instagram and posted the sweetest picture of herself and her megastar father Amitabh Bachchan. Shweta can be seen fixing her father’s shawl in the image while the two have barely any distance between them. The coronavirus outbreak has resulted in people being stuck in their homes and practicing social distancing. Shweta too has been unable to meet her parents Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan for some time following the 21-day lockdown in India.
She captioned her post, “Throwing back to a time when we took touch for granted !!! #lockdownmusings #practicesocialdistancing #staysafe.” Shweta recalled the fond memories when she took being so physically close to her father for granted. She then urged everyone to practice social distancing and stay safe and healthy. She is not the only one to have advocated the importance of quarantine and self-isolation. Shweta joins a long list of actors such as Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Akshay Kumar and his writer-wife Twinkle Khanna, Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and her better half Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt amongst many others. While off-duty, all stars have been sharing their routines in quarantine and have inspired their followers to do the same, whether it means binge-watching shows, painting, reading books or working out at home.
