ST. LOUIS – Ivan Barbashev scored twice and the St. Louis Blues had their worst loss in five games with a 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night. It was the Devils' 12th loss to the Blues.

It was the third multigoal game in Barbashev's career and the first of the season. Two of these games came against the devil.

Jaden Schwartz also scored and Jordan Binnington scored 17 saves for his seventh career shutout and second place this season when defending Stanley Cup champion and Western Conference leaders won for the first time since February 4.

Louis Domingue made 36 saves for the Devils, which were banned for the seventh time this season.

The Blues left the Devils 13-6 behind in the first half, but Domingue made several big saves to keep the game goalless, including an early stop by David Perron's one-timer. He also covered a mid-period Alex Pietrangelo ride.

Domingue continued to frustrate the blues with two dynamic parades early in the second period to rob Ryan O’Reilly and Carl Gunnarsson for the St. Louis power game.

Barbashev gave the blues a 1-0 lead on their 20th shot of the game, found a loose puck in the slot, and scored his first goal in 13 games at 9:21 the second.

Binnington had only eleven goals in the first two periods, but took advantage of Wayne Simmonds' chance of 4.8 seconds in the second.

Barbashev led the blues 2-0 and ended with a perfect feed from Sammy Blais.

Schwartz made it 3-0 with 5:15 left and scored his fifth goal in 10 career games against the devils.

Binnington made several saves during a four-minute power play for New Jersey in the third, and was helped when Pavel Zacha hit the post.
