Farah Khan Wants Celebrities to Stop Posting Workout Videos. Check out Arjun Kapoor's Cheeky Reply

Farah Khan, director of superhit films like Main Hoon Naa and Happy New Year isn’t one to mince words. Ever since the reality of the coronavirus scare hit the world and Bollywood hard, everyone has been in ‘slowdown’ mode. And now, with the 21-day lockdown announced a few days ago, celebs, like the rest of us have no place to go except stay at home.

From stars like Katrina Kaif showing how they are cleaning up and doing household chores to others like Kartik Aaryan who has been spreading awareness about the virus and the need to practice social distancing, stars have been using their social media accounts in their own way. But a lot of have also been posting videos of their home workouts and talking about how they are keeping fit now that gyms and fitness centres have shut.

While that might be providing inspiration to their followers, Farah Khan feels they are rather unnecessary. In a video posted on Instagram she makes a plea – Bas Karo or STOP, where she requests celebs to stop posting workout videos. Farah says celebs are privileged people and at the time when the world is facing the worst of the pandemic, there is no need to flaunt your fitness especially when there are other pressing concerns.

She wrote: I have a humble request to all ‘celebrities’ and ‘stars’ that please stop making your workout videos and bombarding us with it. I can understand that you all are privileged and you don’t have any other worries in this global pandemic except for looking after your figures. But some of us, most of us have bigger concerns during this crisis.
“So, please have mercy on us and stop posting your workout videos. And, if you can’t stop then please don’t feel bad, if I unfollow you.”

She found support in some friends like Tabu who said that she was not guilty of not working out but Arjun Kapoor had a cheeky response. The Panipat actor wrote, “ think u need to workout in the gym downstairs in ur building ASAP !!!!’

One doesn’t know how Farah took the advice but she surely had made a point. Over the last few days, several celebs including Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonu Sood and Shilpa Shetty among others were posting workout videos.
