How to create a custom WordPress theme (without code)

Are you looking to create a custom WordPress theme from scratch? Previously, you had to follow the WordPress codex and have coding knowledge to create a custom theme for you. Fortunately, things have improved and now anyone can create a fully customized WordPress theme in an hour without coding knowledge. In this video, we will show you how to easily create a custom theme without writing any code with Beaver Themer.

To start this guide, you must purchase Beaver Builder with its Beaver Themer add-on. You can go to the Beaver Builder site here:

Once you have purchased, you will want to go to your WordPress site and load the add-in in Add-ons, Add new, and click on the Load add-in button at the top left of the page with the active add-in, we will install the theme that we will be using On the site, for this tutorial we will use the Astra theme:

With the Astra theme, we will configure the basic layout we want for the page, such as not displaying a sidebar for the default settings and any custom page settings you prefer. Next, go to Beaver Builder, Add New, assign a title to your design and set it to the oldest design and choose the section you want to modify.

You will now have the option to customize the design and style of your theme from a fixed header to change the header to a specific location or add a rule on how it is displayed. With that setting, you can click the Start Beaver Builder button to open the drag and drop interface of Beaver Builder to customize the theme as desired.

Beaver Builder included header and footer options, as well as content areas for different types of posts. Singular is the default value for publication and page content, so to edit the content you would edit your unique template. This template is where you would modify the content display, the title of the publication and the comments area, while the file template is where you would modify the publications page.
