NEW DELHI: Union Minister Giriraj Singh, who previously equated the ongoing protests against the Citizenship Change Act (CAA) in Shahen Bagh with the protests against the Khilafat movement, said Thursday that the site would be used to spark a conspiracy against the country ,
The senior BJP leader went on Twitter, claiming that Shaheen Bagh – a website for anti-CAA protests for more than 50 days – is used to make suicide bombers.
यह शाश बाग़ अब अब्सिर आंदोलन नही रहा है ..हैायह सूइसाइड बॉम्बॉम का जत्जता बनाया जा रहा है

The experienced BJP politician from Bihar also shared a video of demonstrators on the Shaheen Bagh route in the Kalindikunj district in Delhi with his tweet.
Singh's explosive statement came a day after Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told Zee Media that the center would be ready for structured talks with anti-CAA protesters if they came through an appropriate channel.
Against the backdrop of ongoing protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), PM Modi announced on Wednesday at Lok Sabha his government's willingness to address various sections.
With this in mind, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi expressed concern that the central government could use force to evacuate the Shaheen Bagh line, which has been campaigning against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) for over 50 days becomes.
AIMIM MP from Hyderabad informed the ANI news agency that the use of force by the central government could transform Shaheen Bagh into Jallianwala Bagh.
"Maybe they'll shoot them, they could turn Shaheen Bagh into Jallianwala Bagh. This could happen. The BJP minister made a statement to shoot a bullet. The government has to respond to who is radicalizing," said Owaisi.
Owaisi made these comments regarding reports that the government could use force in Delhi after February 8 to free Shaheen Bagh for elections.
Owaisi said about NPR and NRC: "The government has to give a clear answer that NRC will not be implemented by 2024. Why are they spending Rs 3,900 crore for NPR? I feel like this because I was a history student. Hitler during His government conducted two censuses and then he pushed the Jews into a gas chamber. I don't want our country to do that. "
It can be noted that senior officials from the Election Commission and the Delhi Police Department inspected the Shaheen Bagh area on Wednesday and asked demonstrators to vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections on February 8.
The Delhi electoral authority has categorized all five polling stations in the Shaheen Bagh region as "critical".
Shaheen Bagh, Khureji Khas and Hauz Rani are some of the places in the city where protesters are against the amended citizenship law.
Hundreds of people, including women and children, have been protesting in Shaheen Bagh since December 15 against the Citizenship Change Act and the National Citizens' Register.
