New Delhi: Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot is the richest minister in the AAP government, according to a report released on Monday by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).
In a statement, the NGO said Delhi Election Watch and ADR analyzed the affidavits of all seven party leaders, including Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Gopal Rai is said to be the minister with the lowest declared total fortune, with assets of 90.01 lakh.
"The minister with the highest declared total wealth is Kailash Gahlot from the Najafgarh constituency with a fortune of 46.07 rupees," it said.
The ADR report comes on a day when Kejriwal and his six ministers took command after the formation of the new AAP government.
Prime Minister Kejriwal and his cabinet mates took over the leadership of their respective offices on Monday, declaring that they would work to deliver on the promises made in the "guarantee card" published during the election campaign, including reducing pollution and expanding the subway network ,
Members of his cabinet are – Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Rajendra Pal Gautam, Imran Hussain, Gopal Rai and Kailash Gahlot.
