What was your motivation?
In March 2019, I received not so good news in an appointment with the doctor. My doctor informed me that if I did not control my weight, I would die at an early age. My blood pressure was through the clouds! My blood sugar levels and A1C were terrible! My doctor referred me to the Bariatric Clinic for surgery.
At that time, he weighed 319 pounds, and he needed to make a change! Instead of surgery, I told my doctor: "I will see you in 6 months." On May 1, 2019, I started the Keto lifestyle and got immediate results! I saw my doctor in October 2019, and I was amazed, I had lost around 60 pounds at that time.
How did you change your eating habits when transitioning to Keto?
I entered Keto "cold turkey". I cut most of the carbohydrates and started eating only meat and vegetables cooked in healthy fats. I kept it simple at first until I felt comfortable. The weight began to fall.
What was your exercise routine?
At first, I didn't exercise at all. After months of following the Keto diet, I slowly incorporated basic exercises, such as abdominal and abdominal exercises, along with lunges, squats and some weight training.

When I started on May 1, 2019, I weighed 319 pounds. Now, I weigh 230 pounds. I lost 89 pounds in 9 months!
