Actress Shweta Basu Prasad married her long-time friend, filmmaker Rohit Mittal, in Pune on Thursday at a Bengali wedding.
For the ceremony, the bride wore a pink silk sari, Nath, Borla, and a collar. The groom meanwhile wore a black achkan, a white churidar and a beige turban.
The 27-year-old actor – known for his dual role in the 2002 film Makdee, for which she also won a National Award, went to Instagram on Thursday to share pictures of her wedding.

For her mehendi, which took place on Wednesday, Shweta wore a pink Lehenga and Rohit a pastel colored Kurta pajama. For the engagement ceremony, she wore a shimmering gray, continuous dress, while Rohit wore it casually in jeans and a blazer.
Shweta had previously had her bachelor's degree with friends in Bali.
When she grew up, she was a popular face on Indian television Kutumb, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Karishma Kaa Karishma, Shweta was last seen in the 2017 film as Varun Dhawan's sister-in-law Badrinath Ki Dulhania, She will next be seen in a cameo in Vasant Bala's new film Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota,
Rohit and Shweta got engaged last year after proposing to him in Goa. According to a Times of India report, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap played a crucial role in bringing the two together. "The two have been together for four years and got engaged last year. Both are part of the film community and have worked on short films.
