Microsoft has released revised versions of its mobile office apps for devices with iOS and iPadOS. Users get Excel, PowerPoint, and Word apps, which now have a redesigned user interface that enables quick editing. While the latest version of Microsoft Office apps doesn't include many new features, usability has been improved because the apps are easier and faster to use. The updated apps can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.

Visually, the apps appear clearer and more minimalistic. Microsoft claims to have made the apps "simpler, faster and more beautiful than before". Excel has most of the changes while Word and PowerPoint have been revised and the alt text window added.

Excel changes include XLOOKUP feature integration, which allows users to find values vertically and horizontally. Microsoft previously released XLOOKUP for office insiders and received positive feedback, after which it was decided to make it available to the public. Other features in the updated Excel include the ability to use email and respond directly to comments and mentions without having to open the workbook.

All three Office apps now have an alt text area where you can add captions and make content more accessible. The changelog published by Microsoft shows that all three apps have been redesigned from scratch.

As already mentioned, the three Microsoft Office apps can be downloaded from the App Store. You need iOS 12.0 or later for these apps to work. Apple Watch users also need watchOS 3.0 or later if they want to use the latest version of Microsoft PowerPoint.
