An alarm was triggered in Punjab after several drones flew across the border to throw weapons, ammunition, counterfeit money and narcotics into the state.

The Punjab police have investigated the Punjab-Himachal-Pakistan border. The police in Pathankot, Punjab, are on the verge of stopping Pakistani drones that cross the border and enter Indian territory.

The Punjab and Himachal Pradesh police conducted a joint search in the Himachal Pradesh jungle. The DSP from Pathankot and DSP Noorpur from Himachal Pradesh were present.

Flats and settlements in the area were also searched by the police. The people who crossed the area were also checked for their identity.

Punjab Police DSP Rajinder Manhas said: "In view of the festivals, an alarm was raised and the Punjab police and the Himachal Pradesh police are conducting searches in the adjacent areas of the Punjab-Himachal-Pakistan border."
