Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for development projects worth more than 1,000 rupees in his Varanasi constituency on Sunday.

Modi will also unveil a 63-foot statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, aside from stopping the Kashi Mahalal Express, which will connect Varanasi, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar.

In a statement from the Press Information Bureau (PIB), PM Modi will first attend the closing ceremony of Shri Vishwardaya Gurukul's centenary upon arrival in Varanasi, and will also publish the translated version of Shri Siddhanth Shikhamani Granth in 19 languages.

Modi will also unveil a 63-foot statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay in Chandauli.

More than 200 artisans have been involved in building this statue for over a year. PM Modi will also give a speech after he unveiled the statue.

Modi will open a 430-bed super specialty hospital and 74-bed psychiatric clinic at Benaras Hindu University (BHU).

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC )’s Kashi Mahakal Express will be tagged by PM Modi through a video link that will be the first overnight private train in the country.

This train connects Varanasi with two other important pilgrimage centers – Ujjain and Omkareshwar.

Before PM Modi returns to Delhi, he will also open the "Kashi Ek, Roop Anek" exhibition at Deen Dayal Hastkala Sankul, where he will also interact with buyers and artisans from different countries.

According to the government of Varanasi, PM Modi will arrive around 10 a.m. on Sunday and will remain for almost six hours.

PM Modi will inaugurate more than 30 projects during its visit on Sunday and lay the foundations for at least 14 projects.

To review the preparations before visiting PM Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath will arrive in Varanasi on Saturday evening and visit the commercial center to hold a meeting with the officials.
