New Delhi: An election worker died on Saturday morning in a polling station in Babarpur in the state capital after complaining of heart problems.
The officer, Udham Singh, was a teacher, they said.
Around 7:00 a.m., Singh's health deteriorated and after complaining of complaints and suffocation, a staff member took him and the police to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, a senior official said.
Heart problems appear to be the cause of death, he said, adding that the body was sent for post-mortem examination.
