American President Donald Trump took to Twitter to announce that despite his respect and friendship for the Queen and the UK, the US would not be paying for the security arrangements of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. According to Donald Trump, the royal couple ‘must’ pay for their security. In a response to this statement by the American President, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s spokesperson mentioned that the couple was not seeking security from the US anyway and had plans of using privately funded security.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have recently moved from Vancouver Island, British Columbia to Los Angeles. Although the move was on the cards for quite some time, the couple had to rush because of the COVID-19 Outbreak. This move will give Meghan Markle the opportunity to be closer to her mother Doria Ragland as well as focus on her Hollywood career.
California is Meghan’s home state. She was born and brought up here. Meghan later moved to Canada when she started working in the television show Suits. Hence both America and Canada were home for Meghan. After getting engaged to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle wrapped up her showbiz commitments to be in Britain with him.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be free from their royal roles on April 1st 2020. According to the statement released by the Sussex couple, they wanted to become financially independent and step down as senior working royals. However, they still wanted to support the Queen and hence divide their time between Britain and North America. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to Vancouver Canada with their son Archie. However, they returned to Britain to perform their last duties as senior royals by attending the Commonwealth Service Day in March, 2020. Although their decision came as a shock for the Royal Family, Queen Elizabeth assured the couple of her love and support always.
