What was your motivation? What inspired you to follow when you wanted to give up?
My son is still one of my biggest motivations. I want you to understand how important it is to take care of yourself. That is something I wish I had been taught while growing up. When I want to give up, I just remember all the hard work I did and how I never want to feel like I did with the extra weight again.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started with strict keto, which became too restrictive. I still follow a bit of a low carb regimen. However, for the most part I just try to focus on eating healthy foods and avoiding as many processed foods as I can.
How is your training routine?
I run 3 to 4 days a week if I am prepared.
What was your initial weight? what is your current weight?

I started my trip in October 2018. I am not fulfilling my goal, but it has taken me about 13 months to get to where I am now.
Is weight loss surgery part of your trip?
No surgery to date
What is the biggest lesson you have learned?
I have learned to show grace because I am not perfect. Nobody is. Also, I learned that I will want to quit a few days, but giving up is not the answer.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Stop comparing your weight loss / fitness trip with the people around you. Not everyone is equal and each trip is unique. On the days you want to quit smoking and return to your old habits, sit back, breathe and remember how far you have come.
