TECNO, the global premium smartphone brand from Transsion Holdings, will heat up the Indian smartphone market for less than 15,000 rupees with the introduction of a 48 megapixel quad camera smartphone.
The smartphone is launched as part of its popular camera-centered CAMON series and has a "night shot" that makes shooting in low light conditions an entertaining experience.
According to the industry, the phone will be called TECNO CAMON 15.
Recent teasers released by the smartphone brand on social media promise that their future smartphone with Artificial Intelligence (AI) will include quad flash and ultra-night lens with DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology.
DSP technology uses an AI image synthesis algorithm and corrects various aspects of an image such as exposure, noise, sharpness, edges, etc., so that consumers can take brighter and clearer images even in an environment with poor lighting conditions – a feature that is currently only available in the premium smartphone segment.
In addition, the new CAMON smartphone will be equipped with advanced AI functions such as AI body shaping for a perfect body shape and individual beauty effects such as eye enlargement, slim face, etc.
With world-class high-end features in the upcoming launch, the company is expected to trigger fierce competition for Xiaomi and Realme by posing a direct challenge for Redmi Note 8 and Realme 5s.
The brand has even started testing the handset's night mode feature with #NewYouWithCamon.
The teasers revealed that the phone has a hole for the selfie camera, which is also equipped with night shots for clear selfie in low light conditions.
TECNO CAMON 15 comes with a rectangular camera model on the back and a fingerprint sensor for security.
