Google hacks, car cradles and challenging insights. These are the 4 best content campaigns of April 2017 …
Heineken’s Worlds Apart –
Cradle of the Renault dream –
Burger King Connected Whopper –
Samsung Smart Billboard –
First we have a really powerful Heineken experiment. The beer brand carefully selected each pair of people, ensuring they had polar opposite views. The couples then bonded together by building furniture together, before their conflicting views were revealed to each other, raising the question “will you or will you stay and discuss your differences over a beer?” Nice job.
Second, I wouldn’t know, but apparently a car trip does wonders for your baby to fall asleep. So Renault created the “Cradle of Dreams,” which simulates a crib-shaped car ride, gently rocking your little one back to pitching land.
Then there’s the short but very smart Burger King ad, designed to trick your Google Home and Android devices into exploring the ingredients for the Whopper burger, saying … The ingredient copy on Wikipedia was edited especially for this campaign, so that the information you get is exactly what the brand wants you to hear. Slightly immoral, but a bold move by the fast food chain.
Finally, the billboards are back. In what looked like a regular watch ad, Samsung in Israel showed off the style and function of its new Gear S3 smart watch to the unsuspecting public. And he even involved them in the ad.
