No one, including myself, is getting enough content to make the most of social media marketing. If you are a business that spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on a single ad that pushes everyone on the Internet, you will lose. Companies should start making announcements in a much larger volume that are designed for different demographic and even subdemographic data that can relate to a specific ad, rather than an extremely broad message that nobody really connects with.
