The Pakistan Air Force jet crashes during a routine training mission


A Pakistani Air Force (PAF) Mirage plane crashed on Friday during a routine training mission near the city of Shorkot, Punjab province.

The PAF spokesman said in a statement that the pilot was safely ejected. Dawn reported that there was no loss of life or property as a result of the incident.

According to Dawn, the Air Headquarters has commissioned an investigation committee to determine the cause of the accident.

In January 2020, a PAF plane crashed near Mianwali. The pilots, squadron leader Haris bin Khalid and flight officer Ibaadur Rehman, aboard the PAF FT-7 died in the crash.
